After over 4 years of experience creating unique fashion pieces, we made the decision to move forward with our own platform and build directly with our amazing customers.
Etsy played an important role in our journey. It gave our artwork incredible exposure and helped thousands of fashion lovers discover our custom sneaker designs. We are grateful for that opportunity and the customers who supported us through the years.
However, as a growing creative brand, we also experienced some of the challenges that many sellers face on large marketplaces.
The biggest challenges were profit margins, limited seller support, and situations where marketplace policies did not always consider the reality of handmade and personalised products.
Custom footwear takes time. Some designs require 2–3 weeks of creativity, production, and quality checks before shipping. Unfortunately, there were occasions where review requests were sent to customers before their order had even shipped or arrived, creating unnecessary pressure and confusion for both buyers and sellers.
Courier delays can also happen outside a seller’s control, yet many marketplace systems do not always provide the support needed to resolve these situations fairly. Many handmade sellers have shared similar experiences.
Moving forward, DRIPPYUK KICKS is focused on creating a better experience:

Over the years, we have grown from a small custom sneaker project into a recognised artwork team trusted by fashion enthusiasts, customers ordering birthday gifts, special events pieces, and multiple personalised designs.
Our Pinterest, social media, and online presence continue to grow, and we are now working on redirecting our amazing audience directly to DRIPPYUK KICKS.
